Alex Nerguizian is president and founder of Financial IQ Consulting where he has spent the last five years assisting various non-profit agencies, both in the San Francisco Bay Area and nationally, by designing, developing and implementing their financial capability programs to help underserved communities. Alex has over 13 years of combined experience in the fields of personal finance and asset building coming from both the private and non-profit sectors. He spent seven years with Bank of America where he specialized in wealth management and lending.
Even though he serves a diverse population, Alex specializes in developing and delivering innovative and culturally relevant material to teach financial wellness to the Latino community. He recently began a new project of financial education videos (www.finanzasalinstante.com) aimed at increasing the financial knowledge and capacity of the Hispanic/Latino population living in the United States.
Alex currently sits on the board of Homeownership SF as treasurer and advocate for the Latino community in San Francisco. He is an active faculty member for NeighborWorks America where he has taught since June of 2011. He graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics in 2004. Most recently, Alex became an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®).
